Ransomware-proof your backups
An immutable, verified copy is what separates an incident from a catastrophe. Design for the worst day, every day.
When ransomware strikes, backups are the target as much as production. Attackers that gain a foothold increasingly look for the backup system first — because a business that can restore has no reason to pay.
This is exactly what the "1" and the "0" in 3-2-1-1-0 are for: one copy that is immutable or offline, so it cannot be altered or deleted even by an attacker holding valid credentials, and zero errors on verification, so the copy is confirmed restorable before it's ever needed rather than discovered broken during an actual incident.
Immutability and verification are what turn a ransomware event from a catastrophic, negotiated recovery into a contained incident with a known, tested path back to production.
